Practice Emphasis and Experience

Hillary Madsen joined OMRB’s Seattle office as a Summer Associate in 2007.  Following her graduation from Seattle University School of Law, she began as an Associate Attorney in September 2008.  Her practice focuses on contract disputes, public procurement, and construction litigation.  She is a member of the Federal Practice Group.  Hillary particularly enjoys working with small and mid‑size business firms contracting with Government agencies.

During law school, Hillary served as an extern in the Chambers of the Chief Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court, Hon. Gerry Alexander.  Hillary also worked as a research clerk for Dr. Marilyn Berger, performing research relating to the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund.  She participated in legal clinics, the student body government, and graduated cum laude.

Hillary is an active volunteer and currently serves on the boards of several organizations, including the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), the Master Builders Association Professional Women in Building (PWiB), the Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity Nu Chapter Alumna Association, and the Seattle University Recent Alumni Committee.  She is also excited to be a part of Social Venture Partners of Seattle.  Her hobbies include marathon training, travel, and playing fetch with her giant dog, Della.
