Myles Lanzone focuses his practice on commercial litigation, construction, and government contracts. He has experience with construction disputes, bid protests, writs of mandate, and breach of contract issues, as well as a comprehensive background in all aspects of the civil litigation process.
Prior to joining Oles Morrison, Myles worked for Reed Smith and Locke Lord where he practiced financial services litigation and appellate law, and consumer finance litigation and business litigation, respectively. He held a clerkship with the California Supreme Court where he gained substantial experience reviewing and drafting recommendations for habeas corpus petitions, writs of mandate, and requests for publication and depublication. He also worked at the Los Angeles County Superior Court where he clerked for the Honorable Peter Espinoza, the Honorable Patricia Schnegg, and the Honorable George Lomeli. Throughout his career, he has drafted proposed rulings on a broad range of matters, including pleading challenges, discovery disputes, and motions for summary judgment/adjudication. Myles has also drafted over 20 habeas corpus orders that were unchallenged by the Attorney General or upheld on appeal, which ordered the release of unlawfully imprisoned inmates.
