Ashley Sherwood, an attorney with Oles Morrison, recently published, “New law protects contractor proposal information,” in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce. The article offers a brief overview of House Bill 2555, which was passed unanimously by both houses and signed into law on March 13, 2014. The bill exempts RCW 39.10 design-build proposals from disclosure under the Public Records Act until after award or cancellation of the public works contract.
Ashley’s practice focuses on construction law and federal contracting, including the representation of contractors and project owners in construction disputes. She is a graduate of the University of Washington’s School of Law and is a member of the Oles Morrison Federal Practice Group.
