Craig Rusk and Michael Geraghty to Present at AGC of Alaska

Thu Apr 14, 2016

Oles Morrison partners, Craig Rusk and Michael Geraghty, will present, “Liens & Getting Paid,” to the AGC of Alaska on April 19, 2016. This presentation will cover the current rules and procedures for making claims against both public works and private works bonds and perfecting mechanics liens.  Contractors have the right to pursue these types of claims to recover payment, but it is important to follow all the requirements carefully to avoid losing these rights. The discussion starts at 11:45 am and lunch will be provided.

Craig’s practice focuses on the representation of clients involved in complex commercial enterprises, primarily construction and government procurement. He represents clients in all phases of their projects, from contract negotiation to dispute resolution, and has experience in transactions with public agencies as well as numerous federal agencies and private groups. Craig is Oles Morrison’s co-managing partner.

Michael joined Oles Morrison after serving for nearly three years as Attorney General for the state of Alaska (2012 – 2014). A lifelong Alaskan, his practice focuses on areas and industries reflecting Alaska’s growth and history, including construction and natural resources. Throughout his 36 year career, he has been involved in numerous complex cases and has appeared before the Alaska Supreme Court on a variety of topics.

The presentation will take place at the AGC of Alaska’s Anchorage office and will also be available in Fairbanks via video conference. To register or for more information, please contact Kimberey@agcak.org.
