Attorney Douglas Oles, a partner with law firm Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker, LLP of Seattle, has recently been elected to the national Board of Directors of the American College of Construction Lawyers (ACCL).

“The American College of Construction Lawyers is a distinguished organization whose members include only the most distinguished construction law practitioners in the United States,” said Oles. “I am honored to be elected to the Board and look forward to becoming an active participant.”  Oles’ partner James Nagle is also a Board member.

The College’s educational programs and publications bring together America’s most outstanding construction lawyers to address legal and technical issues facing the design and construction of the built environment around the world. The organization includes lawyers and judges from Canada, Britain, France and Australia in addition to those from the U.S.

Oles is recognized as a national leader in the practice of construction law and in various areas of public and private commercial contracts, with extensive experience in both litigation and transactional work. He has served as national chair of the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry, the largest association of construction industry lawyers. He is also a member of JAMS Global Engineering & Construction panel.
