Join Women Leaders in Construction at the Construction for Change Banquet

Tue Apr 26, 2016

Women Leaders in Construction is pleased to host tables at the Construction for Change Banquet on May 21, 2016 at Hangar 30 in Magnuson Park. Members of Women Leaders in Construction and their colleagues are invited to join us at this great fundraising event. The gallery reception kicks off at 6:00pm followed by dinner at 7:00pm. This year’s banquet promises to be more festive than ever. Tickets are tax-deductible and proceeds go to support critical construction projects for communities that need them the most.

Construction for Change exemplifies the important role the construction industry has in improving our society. By providing project management skills to non-profit organizations, they have helped build schools and health care facilities in small villages around the world, including in Kenya, Cambodia and Zambia. Understanding the need for infrastructure improvement in our own community, they recently launched CfC local, which just completed renovations at the University District Youth Center for homeless youth in Seattle. This coming year, they will help build the Hetauda House, a home for girls and boys who have been rescued from the human trafficking industry in Nepal.

Women Leaders in Construction provides women from all sectors of the construction industry with a platform for networking and professional development. The group was founded in 2012 by the women attorneys at Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker, a construction litigation firm, with the intent of leveraging the diverse perspectives and experience women bring to the field of construction.
